The process of writing is a journey fraught with passion, tears, inspiration, frustration, elation, and self discovery. Writing is a part of who I am. My muse can be anything- from the dimple on my son's cheek to the squirrels that regularly mount an expedition to the top of the bird feeder in the backyard. My greatest inspiration comes from my daily life; being a mother, my wonderful husband, my adorable boys, and my cat. Ah yes, our family feline... total fur-covered attitude who rules our house with an iron paw. I am blessed to be living my dream of being a writer as I juggle the demands of family, deadlines, and the need for sleep (chocolate helps). I currently work as a freelance writer, mainly writing articles for non-profits and trade magazines. My goal is to break into the national magazine market someday and to become a published children's author.
As a writer who is living the feast or famine life of a freelancer, I cannot offer up too much of my writing for free. As such anything I hope to publish someday cannot appear on my site, no matter how much I would love to share it with you. I have included a few samples of my writing below, as well as a variety of my published clips. Thank you for your interest and I hope you enjoy!
